Dear Joan, you are truly remarkable!!
I really enjoyed working with you in preparation for the NMMU conference.
And at the last minute when I could not attend,
You kindly took over and presented for me.
You were a pillar of strength for me during mom’s illness,
And at her time of passing.
May you be blessed in your retirement,
and have ample time to stop and smell the roses.
Although it will be a great loss for DUT!!!
