Delysia Timm

Dear Joan
Thank you so much for sharing your life with me. Three words describe our relationship- food, fun and friendship. We shared many many meals together from Earth Mother to 191 to the ML cafĂ©- all part of our regular haunts sharing and chatting over endless cups of coffee and meals. However the best meals were always those around the kitchen table at First Floor Mariam bee building. I must not forget the top floor of Berwyn Court where really, this meal thing began as we journeyed together as friends, as student- supervisor,  as academic development co-ordinator-director…  these meals we shared are significant to me since they were always moments of great enlightenment for each of our journeys.
Well now fun- you always ensured that I enjoyed my life- even though you were rather serious at times and did not take kindly to silliness, even though you were not easily able to ‘run on the sand’ and enjoy the sand through your toes, yet you loved life and lived each moment to the fullest. Your molecules of emotion were constantly activated as you engaged deeply with learning, teaching and assessment issues – these were your life! You introduced me to all these wonderfully famous people like Marcel Jousse, Candace Pert, Jack Whitehead and Dianne Hill to mention a few, and gave me opportunity wine and dine with them during conferences and workshops. You helped me along the path to churning out abstracts- the beginnings of great things, to writing theses- the coming together of the argument. You allowed me to make mistakes and to learn from them.
You were patient with me, kind, caring and my champion!
I will really miss you but I know that you are still only  a phone call, an email or even now a skype call away!.
God bless you during your retirement .
Jehovah Jireh is your provider!
The Great Rabbi is with you on your new journey of awareness!
Your longlasting Doctoral student,
Delysia
